León, July 30th 2008 The organizing committee is pleased to invite you to
the First international Meeting of Experts in
Information Theories, in
which an interdisciplinary approach
to the information concept is pursued, trying to gather the multiple points
of view that are nowadays active. Articulated around the main problems arisen
from a partial view of information, for example, that which is only observant
to the technical questions, some of the most reputed experts are here
congregated to defend the best scientific arguments in order to reach a more
fruitful notion of information in the scientific work and to safeguard the
social interest. The meeting will also be the occasion to initiate
the BITtrum Project for an “Interdisciplinary elucidation of
the information concept” in which global experts are appointed to meet
around the problem of achieving a unified concept of information. The
organization committee invite to all those researchers willing to join the
project. Hoping to match your interests we look ahead to your
participation as well as a joyful and rewarding stay in León. |
