HR Excellence in Research Award
In order to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA), the European Commission developed the Charter & Code, which includes the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers. These documents contain a set of 40 principles that specify the role, responsibilities and rights of researchers and of the entities that employ and/or finance researchers. The EC has created the HR Excellence in Research award -also called the "HR Award”- to recognize the universities and institutions that generate and support the existence of a stimulating and favorable environment for research work. This recognition is based on the commitment of the organizations to adopt the principles of the Charter & Code.
