The EGRACONS (European Grade Conversion System) project is a Lifelong Learning project (2012-2015) co-funded by the European commission aiming to facilitate exchange mobility by working out a conversion system based on ECTS grade conversion tables as recommended in the EU's ECTS Users’ guide. The project aims to build up a wide-spread awareness and common understanding of the different grading systems in Europe and to enable an accurate interpretation of grades (or marks) given abroad, leading to a fair and manageable conversion of these grades to a local grade in the home institution. The results of the project will therefore benefit students, academic staff, the administration and even future employers. In order to be able to reach its objectives the project is mapping grading practices in countries and individual institutions on the basis of an extensive questionnaire filled in by institutions all over Europe leading to a full description of the grading systems in use in Europe. It is also developing an online, web based Egracons tool that will allow direct and automatic conversions of such grades on the basis of annual, statistically-based grading tables supplied by individual institutions as part of an overall database. Detailed instructions on how to construct grading tables are available here.

The ISLE Erasmus Academic Network “innovation in the teaching of Sustainable development in Life sciences in Europe” aims so to develop innovation regarding a transverse, crosscutting or even transdisciplinary issue. It proposes something new and will focus on a theme that has not been investigated enough. "Everyone" talks about sustainable development, its demand is evident. In terms of education, it is certain that some researchers have worked on the subject, but it is not formatted and anyway it will require huge changes to work in an interdisciplinary way.

Integrating Telecollaborative Networks into Foreign Language Higher Education
An Erasmus Multilateral Project promoting virtual intercultural exchange between university classrooms in Europe and beyond
Universities across Europe are increasingly turning their attention to the themes of internationalisation, student mobility and the development of students' foreign language and intercultural competencies. The INTENT project (Integrating Telecollaborative Networks into Foreign Language Higher Education) aims to support university educators and policy makers in these areas by developing a network of telecollaboration for universities in Europe and beyond.
What are our aims?
- Establish a clear overview of the levels of use of telecollaboration.
- Develop a set of tools, telecollaborative models and partner networks to overcome barriers and facilitate telecollaboration practice.
- Develop a set of workable solutions to address the lack of academic recognition which telecollaboration receives at Higher Education level.
- Publish an online training manual.
- Publish documents and make presentations to inform the academic community.
- Engage decision makers.
